Note from Deb Cautley, MWSA Executive Director: A few of you are wondering why we have discontinued the pool (billiards) program. There is no guarantee how long MWSA programs will continue. Revenue generated by programs goes into the operation of the Centre, so they must make money. We evaluate our programs by participation numbers, and it is why it is important to fob in at the Front Desk each time. We also need to look at usage in comparison to the space utilized. The pool tables took up two rooms and were only used for a few hours each week. One pool table is gone and the space will be used for yoga, meditation, Caregivers Circle, Outreach, and meetings. The second table will be sold in the spring. Currently, that room with the pool table is being used to host our ongoing book sale, which generates a steady revenue for the centre. These decisions are made in the best interests of all our members and the Association.
Set up/Take-Down Responsibility. Activity participants are responsible for room setup and takedown.
Be on time/Leave on time. All participants should take note of their class start and end times. Come a bit early to the centre, as to not be late for your programs, and leave the room by end of scheduled times, so that all programs can start on time. All Clubs (non-instructor-led classes) should include takedown time in your scheduled time slot, i.e., if a class ends at 11:30 am, all participants need to vacate the room, and put away all equipment by 11:30 am.
Keep MWSA Clean. Please wear clean, indoor shoes to keep the floors clean for all participants.
Clean Everything After Use. Please use the disposable sanitizing wipes available in each of the program rooms to wipe down the chairs/tables and equipment after use.
Leave Rooms Clean & Empty After Use. Please put all equipment and supplies back into the storage rooms, i.e sports participants, put nets and posts back into the storage. Fun Floor Curling/League: Please make sure the chairs/equipment are removed after use and put away accordingly.
Thank you all for your cooperation.
