MWSA Seniors in 2019

Support us!

Still accepting donations. MWSA did not reach our fundraising goal with the MWSA $20, 000 DONATION DRIVE.

Mill Woods Seniors Association is a registered charity. We rely on ongoing fundraising, grants, and donations, along with our dedicated volunteers, to help seniors living in Edmonton and surrounding communities stay active and engaged in the community through our programs and services.

Whether you want to make a one-time donation or contribute monthly, every dollar counts. Your generosity will help us continue to run programs such as:

  • Outreach (open to all seniors, regardless of MWSA membership)
  • Nutrition and health  (providing healthy meals at our not-for-profit 2nd Floor Cafe)
  • Fitness classes
  • Drop-in sports program
  • Socialization events, to help reduce isolation
  • Support groups
  • And more!

Corporate Donation/Sponsorship

Are you a business that would like to support the Mill Woods Seniors Association (MWSA)?

We have the following ongoing opportunities to help promote your business and give back to the community:

  • Advertising in regular publications (i.e. monthly newsletter, weekly e-newsletter, program guides) and daily TV monitor at MWSA.

  • Room Sponsorship. Have your corporate logo displayed in one of the program rooms and lounging spaces for a 2-year term.

  • Event Sponsorship. MWSA hosts regular monthly special events for the seniors. With corporate sponsorship, we are able to keep our ticket prices affordable for our seniors.

  • Host a Lunch & Learn. Reach your target audience (seniors 55+), with a presentation and a catered lunch from our 2nd Floor Cafe.

  • Other. We are always open to working with our community partners to better support our seniors. If you have any suggestions and ideas on how you can work with MWSA, please get in touch with us!

For more info, please contact Karen (Communications & Fund Development Coordinator at MWSA) at karen@mwsac.ca

MWSA acknowledges that the land on which our facility rests is Treaty 6 Territory, a traditional meeting ground for many Indigenous Peoples, including Plains and Wood Cree, Assiniboine, Salteaux, Niitsitapi (Blackfoot), Métis, Nakota Sioux, and Chipewyan. Their spiritual and practical relationships with the land continue to create a rich heritage for our community. We are deeply honoured to share this land.
