COVID-19 Updates


With the announcement on April 6, 2021 from the provincial government to return to Step One of the COVID-19 restrictions, effective Wednesday, April 7, 2021, MWSA will be cancelling all in-person programs.  Our virtual programs will continue to run for the remainder of the Session 2 (until April 10, 2021), We are still planning on moving ahead with the virtual programs in the upcoming Session 3 Programs (April 19-May 29, 2021).


We thank you for your patience and understanding during these challenging times. We look forward to seeing our members in the near future.


Our lunch and cinnamon buns to-go service, and online programming are ongoing at this time. Our Outreach and Home Support service remain available during regular office hours. If you have any questions, concerns, or need to speak to a staff member, please call our Main Line (780-496-2997), Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m-4:30 p.m. The health and safety of our volunteers, members, staff, and instructors remain a top priority.


COVID-19 VACCINATION SCAM ALERT!
Alberta Health Services is receiving reports of a phone scam where Albertans over 75 are told they can book their COVID-19 immunization for a fee. AHS will never ask for payment for COVID-19 immunization. Please hang up immediately and report to the non-emergency line for local law enforcement. To report a fraud like this, please contact the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre online or at 1-888-495-8501.


Please continue to check our website regularly, and follow all health regulations.

Mission


MWSA enhances the quality of life of seniors in Mill Woods and surrounding communities by providing programs and services that meet their recreational, social, health, physical, intellectual, and emotional needs

Vision 

MWSA is a welcoming centre that meets the recreational, educational, and social needs of seniors in our community.

Our History

MWSA is a non-profit, charitable association formed in 2007. We can operate as an independent seniors association through grants, membership fees, registered program and drop-in fees,  donations, and general fundraising.  We rely on our generous and dedicated volunteers who support our efforts every step of the way.
